We are growing!

We launched CompuWiz in 1996. It started like many other startups- out of a basement. In 2000 we put our website up. It was a state of the art website for the times. As happens with many businesses we experienced a growth and were focussed on making our customers successful. Other than two news updates, our site carried for many years the signature "last updated in 2001".

Here we are 9 years later, and we are growing again. We have added new team members, are poised to offer our services to larger companies and are feeling energized. After developing the website for the Software Engineering department of Carnegie Mellon University - we are finally redesigning our own website.

Classroom of the Future: Innovative Knowledge Center Advances Education for Emergency Medical Service Institute
Local Technology Company Is Mastermind Behind EMS System Recently Installed in New Robinson Location

Pittsburgh, PA (October 2009) –An intricate technological system of unknown comparison was customized specifically for the Emergency Medical Service Institute to use in further increasing the level of education provided to their EMS force.

The system was installed just before the G-20 Summit, allowing the EMS Institute, newly relocated in Robinson Township, to participate as an information center for all of the EMS units during the Summit. The layout of the newly renovated institute, along with the installation of the technological system, gave them the ability to receive instant data reports that could be viewed while watching the event coverage from the news stations, and while holding a conference between two rooms of EMS employees, all at the same time.

Tom McElree, Director at the EMS Institute, said the system is something they have wanted to integrate for some time. They moved into the Robinson location and had the system installed just two months prior to the G-20 Summit.  He thanks CompuWiz, a locally owned technology solutions provider, for their extremely prompt response and high level of expertise throughout the process.

“We use CompuWiz exclusively for all of our projects. They are unbeatable when it comes to the customer service they offer along with the amount of knowledge they have for the newest innovations in technology, which was of utmost importance for this project,” stated McElree.

CompuWiz is still finalizing some of the details for the system to be integrated as a major communication tool at the EMS information center. The extensive phone system, along with the broadcast capabilities and Smart Board technology integrated with all of the components, will allow the information center to hold continuing education and certification classes for EMS training across the region. Another bonus: because everything was custom-designed and installed by CompuWiz, the system can be integrated into other information centers, as well as any other business, and altered based on their specific needs.
